I was just bringing the milk in when I spotted this little chap on my pyracantha. I dashed in and got camera, macro lens and tripod. I still find macro work very hit and miss but these aren't a total disaster. I don't know why but peering through the macro always gives me a headache!
oh he's very colourful but really, I don't like htem on my washing! I have been using super macro mode on my old Fuju S7000 and I'm loving it, forgot how easy that camera is to use!
ReplyDeleteLovely photo...most of the ones I see are plain green.

Amazing detail that you captured. How something so small have so much color and design. Well done...headache and all.
ReplyDeleteSuch sharp details! I hope that your headache is better!
ReplyDeleteI expect National Geographic will be knocking on your door soon. Those are great photos.
ReplyDeleteI love the depth of field on the second image! Well done!
ReplyDeleteHiCj, well you and your cam+macro-lens were there on the right time!!! very well done and a good shot, I like how a macro lens is working, I bought one just before I left for Italy, but did not bring it with me, i still feel sorry that I didn't.
ReplyDeleteBtw I feel OK ,thanks for asking:)
I used to get those metallic swines in my house all the time...
ReplyDelete... I mean "shielf bugs"..!
ReplyDeleteAmazing detail!
ReplyDeleteWow - this is outstanding.... Wonderful detail! Great Job!
ReplyDeleteGreat shots though. I don't have a macro lens and can only get so close. Never thought about the short depth of field causing headaches.
ReplyDeleteHe looks like what we used to call "stink bugs" because if you messed with them they made this dreadful smell and if it got on you it takes ages to come off.
ReplyDeleteNice macro's!!
Lori
