A predator....
This shot isn't as sharp as I'd like but this snow leopard kept moving - bother. I do love his intent expression however. You would think he was stalking an antelope through the undergrowth but in fact he was after a bit of raw meat the keeper had tossed in the cage for him! This is for my friend JS aka Wildcat. If you want to see a truly amazing snow leopard shot, go to her website, look in the nature/wildlife gallery and click on "Santago". The rest of her work is well worth a look too!

HI Julie

Aren't the big cats awesome!!! We had a lion park about two miles from where I lived in Johannesburg South Africa, you could sometimes hear them roar if the wind was blowing in the right direction. Unfortunately the transparencies (slides) of them are in storage in England. I may have a few pretty bad scans I will look for them. They were done at least 8 years ago when the tranny scanners were still not that great. The park had about 5 or 6 prides of lion, each one was in its own area with a road that looped through each area so you entered drove around a circular road and exited from the same entrance for each one. They had different species of Lion too. We had an instance where two Japanese tourists were eaten by the one pride because they got out of their vehicle to pose in front of the lions for photographs!!!!! Can you believe it!!

I think of you often and am sorry I have been a slack blogging buddy. I will try to improve. Hoping Larry will be home tomorrow.
