Reflections of Venice
I've been tagged by Akelamalu for the Eight Random Facts About Me meme
1. I took my driving test 5 times; failing each time on reversing around corners. The day I finally passed was one of the happiest of my life!
2. I love having my blood pressure taken. The medical profession (and indeed everyone else!) seems to think this is very strange. I get quite a thrill when they get that cuff onto my arm. I just love the feeling....
3. I have been engaged to be married four times.
4. I type with one finger and use my thumb for the shift key. I'd love to be able to use more of my fingers.
5. About 2 years ago I taught myself to duck-dive and swim underwater. It was very difficult at first as I'm very buoyant but now I can do it easily.
6. I speed read. I'm the fastest reader I know (although the Wildcat is pretty speedy too!)
7. I was a vegetarian for about 5 years and through both pregnancies. One day I succumbed to a bacon sandwich and that was it :(
8. I am incredibly bad at maths. Numbers send me into a complete panic. My dad was very good at maths and thought if he shouted at me loud enough I'd eventually "get it". I never did!
I'm not going to tag anyone but if anyone would like to do this then let me know!!

This shot is dreamy! :)
I speed read too....and can get through a book really quickly...handy as when I START a book I hate to put it down until I've finished it.

Thanks for taking it on.
1. You passed it doesn't matter how long it took.
2. You're wierd! In the nicest possible way.
3. Did you keep the rings?
4. Try this http://www.typeonline.co.uk/index.html for practice.
5. I can swim but not underwater, tell me how.
6. I speed read too. I can read a book in a day if I'm left alone.
7. Oh a bacon sandwich is too hard to resist.
8. I can add up. 2 + 2 = 5 right?
Love all these facts about you!
Oh yes, I kept the rings! Although I only actually got three rings and one was very inexpensive. I'm good friends with one of my former fiances and not on bad terms with any; I guess they all realised they had a lucky escape!
The secret to swimming underwater is to bend sharply when you dive under. Then you use the weight of your thigh bones to help propel you down.I always used to try to pull myself down with strong arm strokes but that doesn't work. So you swim along, do a sharp forwards bend and flip your legs up as you go under. The weight of your legs helps you submerge (easier to show than to describe LOL)
Wow - very cool shot!

I speed read! I get fed up waiting for B to finish reading something I've read really quickly. However, I then promptly forget what I have just read, and B can remember everything! Have you been to venice?
Glad to hear you kept the rings! :)
Swimming underwater sounds like I may have to keep my eyes open yeah? No can do!
This is a dynamite photo. I love it.
I'm good at math, though. I wish I had a dollar for every night I spent with one daughter or the other past midnight, and working on basic math, algebra, geometry...
