This was taken on Friday from Seacombe Ferry on the Wirral side of the Mersey. The Wildcat, her dad and I arrived early and got a good "spec" and set up our tripods. I was a total wally and forgot my new tripod and had to borrow one of WC's. Luckily she has a few....! I've done hardly any night shots with the DSLR so this was a real learning experience. I was fortunate to get guidance from two real experts.

We could hear sounds of partying drifting across from the ship. The fireworks afterwards were pretty spectacular too. I'm glad we made the effort to go to take pictures.

I've been to the gym and aerobics and am now bracing myself to tackle the HUGE pile of ironing. Time to put a DVD on and get stuck in. Hope everyone is having a good Monday!

I love night shots of cities across water. Having lived in Portland, OR, which features the very picturesque downtown area on the Columbia river, I can appreciate that sort of shot. It always makes the city look vibrant and exciting.

Gorgeous! You did a great job on this night shot, it's lovely. It's something I really must work on sometime; I just need to find someone to go with, as I'm too nervous to venture out into a city alone after dark with my gear.

Ugh.... ironing! {{{HUGS}}}

Fabulous Julie; I love those coloured reflections in the water. The gym AND ironing....I think if I went to a gym it would take me two days to recover. :o)

the small version doesn't do it justice. The colours are wonderful. Love the brown sky!
