Life is sweet...
This photo is from my archives; taken in the Petaluma CA Safeway store, when I was grocery shopping with my friend A. From what I can remember, she'd sent me to choose some bread and I'd become distracted by some of the unusual (to me) goods on offer. These are Mexican cookies and I wish I'd bought some....I do love supermarkets in other countries...they feel so much more exciting and unusual. Or am I just very sad...?
Well, we have had a very happy weekend. Nothing very exciting and we have had to bite the bullet and pay out for a new washing machine. Our cowboy repairman appears to have taken the money and ridden off into the sunset....I guess he has no conscience! It is just so good to have Phil home and for us all to be together. Last night Phil's parents came round and we had a lovely visit.... lousy weather tho'...wet and windy!
I've finished another book by Richard Carlson and I'm trying to take on board some of his key precepts. I know it won't be easy but I'm determined to make major changes in how I live my life this year.
I'm now going to force myself to go out into the dark, the wind and the rain for a 30 minute walk before settling down for the evening.
Thanks to everyone for the comments and HUGS you sent me after my last post. You have all contributed to my happy weekend and I hope yours has been equally blessed.

Those cookies look delicious! I am glad to hear that you had a good weekend! I will have to read those Richard Carlson books, too.
Those cookies look scrummy! I've got the munchies now :)
I know what you mean about supermarkets in other countries. When I first moved to the UK, I was fascinated with grocery shopping here (THAT quickly changed!). Now that I live in the UK permanently, grocery shopping here has become a mundane affair, but visiting supermarkets back home in Canada is FUN!

At first I thought they were mango hedgehogs but then I realised they were the wrong colour! They are pretty though aren't they?
Good to hear Phil's home and you had a good weekend. x
LOL at gledwood and akelamalu! I couldn't decide if they looked appetising or not myself!
No fair...I'm hungry and really trying to be good on my diet...these do look so yummy.
Lousy about your washing machine but you have got to do what you have to do.
You sound happier and I'm so glad.
OMG!!! Petaluma Safeway made its way into your blog.
