For A.S with love...Pink berries...
...and I think something has been snacking on these! Another photo from Saturday's trip to Ness Gardens.

I can't believe it's only Tuesday; this week is dragging with Phil gone. I had an early night last night but woke up feeling exhausted; I'd had loads of those really vivid dreams which are very unsettling without quite being nightmares. In the last one I was photographing a wedding and was unable to focus my camera; I was frantically searching the menu and settings but could not get a sharp image! I woke up sweating and trembling...!

The next wedding shoot is March 1st. My wedding photographer guru has also told me he's going to offer some free engagement portraits to some of his clients so I can practice my staging and portrait taking. I'm so lucky to have these opportunities. He's also given me a ton of books on portrait and wedding photography to develop my eye for composition. My homework!!

It's raining and dark and I'm trying to force myself out the door for a walk...ugh!

I heard today from a special friend I thought I'd lost for ever; it was so good to see an email from her again; she was never far from my thoughts.

oh how wonderful to hear from old friends! You are very lucky to have the opportunity to learn and take photos. Love your dream, however, Barry had exactly that problem in reality, then he realised the lens wasn't screwed on properly! phew! I have bought a small tens machine from Lloyds the chemist, it is brilliant for my shoulder pain and it only cost £14.99!

Love the pink berries. I've been sifting around in your archives and every time I think I've found my favorite photo another one catches my eye.

I saw a post where you talked about trying to "live in the moment" - I'm working toward the same goal. That's actually where the name of my blog came from - clearly I haven't achieved that yet :)

Isn't it wonderful when someone you've been thinking of just comes back into the moment. I'm glad that e-mail made you happy.

Hope you slept better. Re hearing from your friend after a long time - the same thing happened to me years ago and we've never lost touch since - it's the greatest feeling. x

Feel the fear and do it anyway! Of course you'll be nervous, but soon you'll have a routine down. Nobody is born a professional ANYTHING. It all takes practice!
