Today was a typical Bank Holiday Monday but at least it wasn't raining! It wasn't hot and sunny, it was cold, dull and windy but no rain was actually falling so we headed to Erddig
for an afternoon out.

We had a snack lunch in the very overcrowded restaurant, toured the house and wandered around the gardens. We were all a bit giggly and silly in the house and the room guides gave us very repressive looks! I did suggest a family photo but Kate refused on the grounds her roots are showing, Sian screamed and ran away and Phil just threatened me with violence. So I took this snap as they were walking ahead of me down the pathway.

This is part of one of the wrought-iron gates separating the garden from the parkland.

We finished the day with a BBQ which was really good although far too chilly and windy to eat outdoors and now we're all going to watch Father Ted on DVD. We know how to live!!!

Oh My... At first I didn't recognize the "woman" walking along side of K and P. I can't believe how much S has matured this past year. S was a little girl yesterday.....

I like walking away/looking away photos and this one is a treasure. I too am threatened when I take too many photos but then they all want to see.

The gate is beautiful.

That wind was freezing yesterday wasn't it? But, as you said, at least it didn't rain. I'm on half term this week so you can guarantee the weather will be 'crap'!

I'm sure they'll all appreciate a rear view more than a face on shot!

I'm glad you had a good holiday. I love your gate shot. I've been rather interested in gates lately because I'm working on a couple of pieces that involve doors/gates.
