Project Black 3 - my favourite mug! Click to visit Anna's blog and find out about Project Black!
Can anyone tell me who is the person featured on my mug?
I filled up my car earlier and it cost me just over £60. This is really quite frightening! I am resolving to use my car less and less as well as try to be much more frugal in general. The cost of living is really going up and I'm quite concerned about our fuel bills already.
Frugality in itself is no bad thing. I have felt uneasy for some time about the "spend spend spend" society we live in, and I've been pretty care-free about buying stuff myself. I can see that in my future I'm going to be thinking a lot harder before buying anything that isn't absolutely necessary.

I hear you on the economic front. We're feeling the pinch here, too, what with escalating gas prices (which affect food prices and pretty much everything else, too) plus the falling purchase power of the US dollar abroad.
I hear you as well - according to a top advisor for McCain we're all just "whiners" though.
I wish I knew who the woman on the mug is, she's beautiful.
Very interesting mug
Hello CJ,
As always... I am impressed by your ever lasting creativity, this is such a good idea.. nice 'Black', welldone.
The person on yor mug? Hmm, it could be a French Person painted by Da Vinci? But I am not sure...
Thanks for your sweet words, just today i could take of my mitella (thanks!!) So I feel much better, at least I can hold a camera for the first time in 6 weeks, carefully but... its a start.
We're leaving soon for holidays, wsihing you a good/creative summer!

Oh, I just love that mug and the quote. How cool that you got the whole quote too. Is that Jane Austin? Trying to think of women it might be.
I like the statue below too. At first I thought it was a buddah, but he/she has a sword, so probably not. I like it anyway, though... and the quote about love. Beautiful and wise.
The price of petrol is just too scary and of course it has an impact on everything else doesn't it?
No idea who that is on your mug but she's quite pretty. :)
Love the mug - love how you framed the shot!
The lovely lady is Jane Austen.
Love your mug too but don't know who she is.
It is rather scary how everything is escalating so much. I gulp everytime we fill the gas-tank. Wow, its a lot of money. We have started cutting backon somethings but know we have to stop eating out so much.
Jane Austin?
I've spent the summer pretty much close to home. Costs no gas to stay here. luckily our windows are open year round and we don't worry much about too hot or too cold.
is she Florence Nightingale? I was alarmed when I last filled my Ka up, I used to get £28 in her with a squeeze, now she takes £40!! Scary! I am trying to spend less too, I think it is a general feeling, it all has got out of hand.
Gosh, I know what you mean! I have really been trying to get back to a more "simpler" life. Being out in nature helps....no money to spend when you're just observing wildlife and flowers :)
I love the woman on your mug, but I have to brag that my FAVORITE mug is the one you brought me when you visited last year. It's the mug that says "England" on it and has a likeness of your flag;) and I would rescue it in a fire.
