It's been quite a busy weekend. This first photo is a really BAD picture but it's still an important one to me. It shows S on Holly, ready for her first riding lesson since she fell off last week. She was really anxious but she insisted on riding, and chose Holly, just about the biggest of the horses available for her to ride. They had a good time and I'm so proud of her. K even came along to support her little sister - which meant a lot to S and to me, too.

We had the Wildcat and family around yesterday; it's been a while since we all got together and it was great. I cooked a roast dinner and almost everything was eaten; I love to see my cooking devoured. A highlight was seeing my flexible friend playing TWISTER with the kids; unfortunately I was not allowed to take pictures or my blog today would have been much more entertaining! All I can say is that we all saw her from many new angles :)

The flowers are from a beautiful bunch she gave me yesterday.

In the evening I went out for a drink with the Coven; always good to see them all.

I have started packing!! I think this week is going to drag!

I hate packing with a passion...I make myself lists and try and finish packing the day before so I am a bit calmer....good luck!

Hey I thought that was a picture of The Queen!
What do you think about Annie Liebowitz suggesting her Maj should take off her crown?? The very cheek of it!!
I love the visual at the top of your blog btw it is exceedingly striking ...
You're in my official blog roll now!
Sorry it took so long. I've just been crap at everything. All is chaos. As per usual. In my life .... Hope you're ok tho

Hey Julie,
It doesn't matter at all how the above photo is, when the story matters more. I like the combination, (photo+story) How did S ride the horse Holly? Did it went well?

Nice flowers you got, I like yellow (as long as a buch is 1 colour)

When You will not hear from me, I might be gone (By the end of this week) But I come back by mid august, I am not able to post photo's nor stories because I'm depending on internet cafe's, if I find them.

Have a good time,

JoAnn

You must have been so proud of her...what a great girl. What a shame we couldn't see any Twister photos...bet there would have been some cheeky ones ;o)
Hope this week goes quickly for you, I know how much you must be looking forward to your holiday; going to miss you though :o(
Happy Packing!

I love the flower shot, and explosion of yellow.

I have many shots like your top one. Maybe not technically correct but precious to me nonetheless. Now all you need is a lens with the vibration reduction or image stabilization feature. Mine has already rescued many a handheld shot.
