There is, I think, a melancholy feel to this image, which suits my mood perfectly today. End of summer, end of school holidays...too many endings.

Brunch with the Wildcat yesterday was great, and she surprised us later on with an invitation to join them all at TGI Fridays. We had a great time!

I thought this was a petrified tree until I realised you had turned it to mono! I hate this time of year too, always have so I have to keep myself busy!

it's the start of a new year
the
start of the new seasons

(not fair of me to say any of this as I'm off to spain in 3 weeks so I'm in denial of the summer being over ;-) !)

I loved this tree! Such a beautiful shot. Ah yes, summer is coming to an end and soon school will be starting and back in to the school year routine. Kind of a first for me with both my kidlets going this year... whatever will I do with 3 hours a day and no kids?

Beautiful photo, Jules. You have a good eye for composition. The mono really conveys the lonely feeling. Thanks for the nice comments on my blog. XO

A lovely moody picture CG. Black and White makes the statement.

Hi Dear CJ,
I thought that I had seen this photo/post before,( that it was an old post) so I skipped your blog, I thought that I did not want to comment twice...So I looked again and No! I'd not seen this before,

About the photo: its really an amazing photo, first I like the colour B&W , I like the place: on a cliff or rock and just standing there, not falling down , not yet...

Your expression of you feelings, hmmm I give you a bIG HUGH and its just 'sitting trhough' this time , hoping for better times.

:) More hughs JoAnn
