For light and composition, this is one of my favourite photos EVER, for me it just had that elusive "something". However, when I looked at it on the computer screen I was bitterly disappointed. It was very blurred. I couldn't bear to just throw it away so fiddled around with some filters in photoshop - not something I usually do. I'm quite pleased with the result.

gorgeous composition and I think the treatment has saved the image!
You know...I did the same type of thing to one of my shots the other day....I had a flower shot that I thought was beautiful....but it was blurred....so I used a PS effect and it turned it into a kind of "painting" look.
I LOVE this.....I think you've done it wonderfully! And It's good to be different!!!
Thank you for all of your kind comments on my blog! I really appreciate them!
Pleased? CJ! You made a piece of ART here, and I am NOT kidding! I am seriously very impressed, Howr you did it that doesn't matter, keep it... safe it... on a CD and also on a USB-stick this is really a fantastic shot:):):)
MY COMPLIMENTS!
I showed again (!not as good as yours)some lightballs on TOP of the Dunes on the ' The Hague- beach', for a special reason on my blog, you might like to see them?
Have agood day/week:) Greetings
I totally agree with you - I would have kept it as well (although I doubt I could have done it justice like you have here).
I really like the use of negative space and the wistful look on her face. Beautiful mood, lovely composition. I think your post processing has retained that feel.

Thanks for the positive comments. I'm glad it wasn't a total write off!
Lovely, truly lovely.
This almost has a watercolor quality to it. You have captured an essence. Well done and I can see why its one of your favorites.
Wow this is gorgeous, gives me new hope that I may be able to salvage some of my not so publically displayed booboo's LOL. This I can definitely see printed on a water color type paper, matted and framed, like the old masters?
(((Hugs)))
