CG, since we stil have some open areas around us, we still have skunks. Something (loose dogs, generally) will bother them and soon the odour is coming through the window, no mistaking that smell. Soon your eyes are stinging and you are gagging. There is nothing you can do about it, just let the wind hopefully move it on to someone elses place. Closing the windows does not help. Honestly, you do not want to smell one.
It is said that a human can smell a skunk that has sprayed or been killed from as far as 2 miles away....animals obviously have far better sence of smell which is why it so much worse for a dog or cat that has been sprayed.

AWww I hope you won't be sad much longer, sometimes change is a really good thing.
Sorry that you are in a quandry and sad. Put on a Happy Face, 'cause you don't know what a SKUNK smells like. That alone is worth it's weight in gold.
OMG totalchaos, what a great way to look at that...too incredably funny...I am sure that comment brought a smile to cg's face.
feel better soon cg.
LOL, you're right, TC, I smiled as I read that!!
