I glanced up whilst wandering along a street in Sonoma and saw this sign; took a quick picture. When I came to look at it I was intrigued by how it almost looks as if I'd used selective colour on it...but I hadn't (indeed not sure if I could!)
I felt rotten most of yesterday - I have IBS which isn't of course an actual illness but a condition...it's not life threatening but just unpleasant and uncomfortable. I then read a post on Mrs Nesbitt's blog in which Denise is rightly thrilled to get good news after recent medical tests. She designed this logo to celebrate Health & Happiness and I'm pleased to display it - because it is lovely to get good news about someone's health for once instead of the opposite!

I hope you're feeling better today.
I started on the photo project. What I loved about your photo was the juxtaposition of the bright blue and terra cotta, plus the interesting textures of the under eaves section. I'm using blue dupioni silk for the sky portion and marbled handmade paper for the terra cotta tiles. I'm thinking about couching down some bamboo or similar twigs for the under eaves. So far it looks cool!
Feel better and look towards happiness.
It was so good to hear Denise's good news. Hope your IBS calms down soon.
I love the sign photo...looks quite old.

Great photo CG. Sorry to hear you're not feeling 100%. Great news about Mrs. Nesbit.
i've been feeling rotten too, join the club. hope you start feeling better soon
are you really 70% American? I got the impression you were American from your photo... but then realized you were from Cheshire and so thought I was totally wrong.
It was the professional posture that gave you away
(as American)
if that makes any sense
Himy dear Cj,
Ifeel so sorry for you , I'm better now you are not well, my HUGHS :) (BTW whats IBS?)
What a great flowerpost-picture you showed ( from Mrs N), as a matter of fact my uncle (see my post) was feeling not well (depressed) , so I posted two BIG flowers for him....
Same idea same thoughts, we :(You-me) understand how it feels to feel 'uncomfortable' in either body or mind.
With lots of love JoAnn :)
(flower + poem on my blog can be used or the same 'state of mind')
I like the wooden sign. Don't see many of those these days. I really does look like selective desaturation.
Hope you feel better soon.
That is a neat shot, it does look to be selective colors. But without all the work. Cool.
