Little things that make me happy -
- The smell of coffee brewing every morning
- My cats coming for cuddles
- Getting into a freshly changed bed
- Hot showers
- My scent - Shalimar
- The sound of a text message arriving
- Hugs
- A new book by a favourite author
- Singing along to the car stereo
- Clean plates all round when I've cooked dinner
- Getting a comment on my blog
- A brand new diary
- A long walk in the fresh air
- Freshly painted toenails
- Trying out a new recipe
- Frosty mornings
- Soup!
- Making lists
- The first day of a holiday
- Burts Bees Lip Balm
- Baking bread
- Using my Cross Ion pen
- The smell of a tack room - horses plus leather
- Finishing the ironing
- Thick comfy socks
- Being called a numpty by the Wildcat
- The moment when the film starts at the cinema
- Waking up ready for work - then realising it's a day off
- Having my hair washed by Tracy; best hairdresser in the world!
I have two new books to add to my list:
The thirteenth tale by Diane Setterfield - a wonderfully atmospheric and mysterious read and Don't sweat the small stuff by Richard Carlson - which is really helping me make some changes in my life!
I was really distressed to discover that Dr Carlson died December 2006 - he was born the same year as me.

Little things mean a lot - and your list is full of wonderful little things that I also love!
Thank you for reminding me how many of the little things in life I love so much, and how simple many of them are to come by. Being easy to obtain does not make them any less precious, and your post serves as a reminder that I shouldn't take such small luxuries in life for granted.

What a marvelous list! Thank you for reminding me of the simple pleasures in life. I will have to think of my own list after being inspired by you.
A wonderful idea to have a list of the small, achievable things in life that bring happiness. Sending {{HUGS}}...I see that's on your list :o)

This post has really got me thinking, I have been spending a lot of time recently feeling sorry for myself, and your last few posts have definitely pointed me in a more positive direction. I think I must put one of these lists together too.

Richard Carlson wrote other "Don't Sweat the Small Stuff for Teens." What a gem of a book that was for B. I highly recommend it.
I love the list and the photo. Thanks for sharing both.
