Shea has developed a fascination with frogs and I'm constantly rushing out to rescue them from him. He hasn't hurt any yet; he specialises in hovering with menace. I found one poor little fella with his front feet over his eyes today - a friend told me this morning that they did that when threatened by a cat but I didn't believe her...sorry, C, I've now seen it with my own eyes!I found this little frog on the lawn yesterday and popped him into the pot pond on the deck. He must like it as I noticed him on the rim this afternoon. I still had the macro lens on the D40 and rushed to get it and knelt in the rain on the wet decking to take a few shots. This is the best and it's hand-held. I love the blue of the pot and the vibrant green on the pond grass framing the frog.
The girls and I have been watching the first series of "Life on Mars" on DVD. We're really enjoying it! Last night I spotted an orange bongo lamp identical to one we used to have when I was a kid. It's funny how the fashions don't look too dated as many of the 70's styles are back in fashion again! On the same theme I've just read a good book called "Where did it all go right?" by Andrew Collins, about growing up normal in the '70s. Not nearly as good as Nigel Slater's "Toast" but a pleasant nostalgic read anyway.
